I sent them an e-mail to ask them about their animal-testing policy, and this is their answer :
"Dear Ms Melmer,
thank you very much for your interest in our products. We do not carry out animal testing, nor do we use contractors to do so, either in Germany or abroad. To guarantee the safety of our products, we only use well-known and proven ingredients.
Since 1998, German animal protection legislation prohibits the use of animal testing in the development of cosmetic products. In autumn 2004, an EU directive was introduced prohibiting the use of animals in testing finished cosmetics.
To advertise products with the logos you mention ranks as unfair competition. Their use suggests that items without these labels a r e tested on animals. This cannot be the case, since it is prohibited by law.
